Committing to a partner and building a life together can be a joyful life experience. Sometimes this coming together occurs in the midst of a demanding educational or career experience. We can find ourselves challenged beyond our existing capacities we juggle multiple roles.
When we become parents, the difficulties can quickly multiply. We are asked to do more with less time and to figure out how to work together as a team to achieve both individual and mutual goals. The pathway to motherhood can be rocky sometimes and in the aftermath there may be unforeseen issues. We have to quickly develop new parts of ourselves and integrate these into our understanding of ourselves and others in the world around us.
As the years progress raising children, there may be seasons of motherhood where you would benefit from some extra support. The full body changes that accompany perimenopause and menopause may chip away at areas of weakness, calling our attention to the need to come back to each other.
